Culture Alignment & Storytelling for International Schools

ONE SCHOOL.FIVE LIVED EXPERIENCES.

Leadership, educators, support staff, parents and students can all experience the same school differently. When those realities drift apart, culture fragments and so does the story people carry. MYSFIT finds the gaps, aligns the culture and systems underneath them, and helps your school become recognisable from the inside out.

About MYSFIT

We Fix the Inside First

Schools can look aligned while being experienced very differently. Leadership sees intent. Educators live implementation. Support staff experience visibility and recognition. Parents experience trust. Students experience belonging.

When those realities drift apart, the consequences are predictable: staff fatigue, inconsistent decisions, parent confusion, fractured trust, and competing versions of the school story.

MYSFIT works at the intersection of culture alignment, stakeholder perception and strategic storytelling. Alignment does not mean everyone thinks or says the same thing. It means different experiences still point to the same recognisable school. Fix the inside first. The story becomes credible because it is already true.

Meet the Founder

Alex Lefevre

Founder, MYSFIT Co.

I have 20 years of experience leading teams across many industries. For the last 10 years, I have worked in education and developed a deep passion for it.

I have always loved to understand human intricacies and have spent my entire career trying to figure out how to achieve the best ratio of productivity and harmony. While consulting with other schools, I realised that most were not suffering from bad marketing, but from fundamental misalignment.

I describe my approach as that of a clocksmith. I like to understand how things function internally—how each part interacts with the next, and how a small adjustment can change the entire rhythm. That is where MYSFIT begins.

Our Services

What We Provide

Three connected services that reveal where stakeholder experience diverges, align the systems underneath it, and turn that coherence into a story people can recognise and repeat.

Alignment Diagnostics

We identify where intended culture and lived stakeholder experience stop matching. Our rapid diagnostic maps gaps across leadership, educators, support staff, parents and students, then locates the contradictions underneath them.

  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Artefact analysis
  • Alignment mapping
  • Contradiction identification

Story Systems

We turn aligned culture into repeatable decisions, rituals, communication and story tools, so coherence travels through daily operations instead of depending on one-off campaigns.

  • Communication workflows
  • Decision-making frameworks
  • Ritual design
  • Template libraries

Alignment Training

We equip your team to maintain alignment across decisions, behaviour and communication. Training is part of delivery, not an afterthought. People protect what they helped create.

  • Staff workshops
  • Leadership coaching
  • Onboarding systems
  • Peer learning frameworks
Our Process

How We Work

A six-phase methodology that moves from evidence to alignment, and from alignment into practical story systems.

Before we begin, we analyze what your school already has. We review existing documents, policies, and communications to understand your current culture and identify what will help us understand your school better. We also agree on the real problem, what success looks like, who makes decisions, and how we will work together. This prevents scope drift and ensures aligned expectations from day one.

Deliverables

Engagement BriefStakeholder MapAccess AgreementSuccess Criteria

We establish the foundation by defining exactly what problem we are solving. Not vague statements like “we need better marketing” but specific, observable issues like “parents receive three different answers when they ask what makes us unique.” We set clear success metrics you can measure.

Deliverables

We gather evidence through structured stakeholder interviews, document analysis, and observation. We listen across leadership, educators, support staff, parents and students where relevant to see where lived experience and the school story drift apart. All feedback is anonymized so people feel safe to be honest. You cannot align what you cannot see clearly.

Deliverables

Alignment ReportContradiction MapInterview SummaryArtefact Library

We build your Culture & Story System: a single source of truth that guides how your school makes decisions, behaves, and communicates. It connects lived culture, decision principles, core story and messaging so people can act from the same institutional logic without pretending they share identical perspectives.

We turn that alignment into practical tools your staff can use every day: email templates, meeting scripts, decision checklists and onboarding guides. These are not one-off campaigns. They are repeatable workflows built into your existing routines so coherence survives without constant effort.

We support rollout with hands-on training, monitor how staff adopt the new systems, and create feedback loops for continuous improvement. Systems built by consultants die when the consultant leaves. Systems built with your staff live on because people protect what they helped create.

The Evidence Behind Our Work

Alignment is visible in the outcomes schools already care about: retention, trust, advocacy and whether change makes sense to the people living it. Storytelling matters because it is how that coherence travels beyond the room.

85%

Staff Retention

Teachers with the highest levels of professional autonomy have an 85% intention to stay in the profession.

NFER

Our Philosophy

Five Non-Negotiable Principles

01

Truth Over Comfort

“We name the contradictions between stated values and observed behaviour. ‘We mean well’ is not evidence.”

Schools often operate with a gap between what they say they value and what actually happens day-to-day. Ignoring this gap creates cynicism. Addressing it builds trust.

02

Systems Beat Slogans

“Anything that depends on constant hero effort will collapse in Week 6. Build story into routines, not one-off campaigns.”

Most school initiatives fail not because of bad intentions, but because they rely on unsustainable effort. Lasting change requires embedding the story into existing workflows.

03

Human First, Brand Second

“The goal is not ‘prettier comms.’ It is trust, clarity, and shared direction. Staff need a story they can inhabit without feeling fake.”

External storytelling that contradicts internal reality becomes reputational debt. Staff can smell inauthenticity, and it erodes engagement.

04

Co-Creation with Clear Ownership

“Consulting is not outsourcing thinking. We run structured co-creation so the school owns the system.”

Systems built by consultants die when the consultant leaves. Systems built with staff live on because people protect what they helped create.

05

Minimum Viable Bureaucracy

“Reduce meetings; increase artefacts. Design for the school calendar. Keep language plain: staff should understand it in 30 seconds.”

Schools are overscheduled. Any solution requiring constant extra meetings is dead on arrival. The best systems work within existing rhythms.
